January is School Board Recognition Month! During School Board Recognition Month, we take the time to recognize the dedicated service and commitment of our school board members. Our board members play an important role in shaping the School District of Cudahy by making important decisions that affect the quality of education in Cudahy. They ensure that schools operate effectively, policies are enforced, and resources are allocated appropriately to meet the needs of students and staff. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was an activist and leader of the Civil Rights Movement. The 2024-2025 Cudahy MLK Art & Essay Contest invites students to reflect on the life, lessons, and powerful words of this inspiring leader.
Cudahy students are encouraged to incorporate the theme into their submission or create a piece that represents the life and legacy of Dr. King overall.
Eligibility: The Dr. MLK Jr. Essay & Art Contest is open to all students in the School District of Cudahy
Contest Guidelines: Winners will be selected at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
Essays: Individual essays will be accepted. Essays can be typed or handwritten neatly.
Art: All art forms are welcome, including drawing, photography, painting, poetry, sculpture, spoken word, videography, and more. Individual and group art submissions will be accepted.
