April is National School Library Month. In April, we acknowledge the important role that school libraries and librarians play in transforming learning. School libraries are an invaluable resource within schools, offering students and staff access to a wealth of information, literature, and technology. School libraries are not just places to check out books; they are a place for students to develop a love for reading, develop critical thinking skills, and explore new ideas.

Spring Break starts tomorrow! No school Friday March 21st through Friday March 28th! We wish all of our families a very relaxing spring break! We look forward to welcoming all of our students back on Monday, March 31st!
Please note that the School District of Cudahy's administration office will also be closed during Spring Break.

🎷🎭 On Tuesday, March 4th, the Cudahy High School Jazz Ensemble brought the Mardi Gras spirit to the Kelly Senior Center on Lake Drive! This marked our first community gig of the school year, and students had a blast sharing music and joy with the community. We wrapped things up the sweetest way possible—with slices of paczki for everyone!🎭🎷

The School District of Cudahy recently partnered with AmeriCorps to bring math support into two of our elementary buildings, Lincoln and General Mitchell. Last week was AmeriCorps Week across the country and we wanted to highlight this amazing partnership. AmeriCorps has 265 tutors that serve 167 sites and 5,901 students across Wisconsin, and we are grateful to be two of the sites. Michelle Klassen (Miss K) and Vincent Musante (Mr. Vincent) both started their service in January. Since then, they have worked in daily small groups with many students using a very structured program focused on increasing math skills. We are grateful to have them on the Cudahy Team! Moving forward, our district is looking to continue to grow this program and hopes to bring more small group support into our buildings. #cudahypride
