"🎲➕ Family Math Night = Fun + Learning!

Last week, the School District of Cudahy hosted a Family Math Game Day for our elementary families! Students and families learned five easy dice and card games that help build strong math skills in a fun and engaging way.

Families also had the opportunity to learn more about the math curriculum used in our elementary schools and how they can support learning at home. 🧮

Thank you to all the families and students who attended, and a special thank you to our dedicated staff whose hard work made this event such a success! 💙

💡⚡ Hands-On Learning in Action! ⚡💡
Students in Ms. Edwards’ 4th grade class at General Mitchell Elementary School are exploring the power of electrical energy!
As part of their study of electricity, students used an LED bulb, a battery, and tin foil to create their own circuits — working to get their bulb to light up! 🔋✨
Through trial and error, teamwork, and critical thinking, students learned how electrical energy flows and what makes a complete circuit. There were plenty of bright moments in the classroom — literally and figuratively! 💡👏

🎉🔧 February is CTE Month! 🔧🎉
At Cudahy High School, nearly half of our students are CTE concentrators! 🙌
So what is a CTE concentrator?
A high school course concentrator is a student who completes a defined sequence of courses within a specific Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathway. These students gain advanced, hands-on experience and develop career-ready skills aligned to industry standards and postsecondary opportunities.
💡 Why does this matter?
CTE course concentrations:
✔️ Build real-world, career-ready skills
✔️ Help students explore and refine career interests
✔️ Can lead to industry certifications, dual credit, or valuable work experience
✔️ Support both college and workforce readiness
We are proud to offer meaningful pathways that prepare our students for success — wherever their future leads! 🚀

🍎✨ Happy Public Schools Week! ✨📚
This week, we celebrate the incredible impact of public education and the dedicated educators, staff, families, and community members who make it all possible.
Public schools are more than classrooms — they are places where students discover their passions, build lifelong friendships, explore new ideas, and prepare for bright futures. From early learners taking their first steps in reading to high school seniors preparing for graduation, every day is filled with growth, opportunity, and achievement.
We are proud of the innovation happening in our classrooms, the support systems that help every learner succeed, and the strong partnerships that make our schools the heart of our community.
Thank you to our teachers, support staff, administrators, families, and community partners for believing in our students and investing in their futures. 💜💛
